Author's Note: Huge thank you's to my official beta for this fic, stl29tide, and alissablue for all her EPIC research. :)

For alissablue and everyone else who wanted a Reid/Paul/Henry scene. :D Also, the ending is abrupt, but it will be explained in the next chapter.

Sorry this is so late, it's been a hell of a day.

Reid walked into Al’s, surprised that Luke wasn’t there yet. Katie was at the counter, talking with Henry, her back to him.

“Goldilocks.” Reid said, sitting down on the stool next to her and interrupting whatever conversation they were having.

“You’re still here?” Henry asked, his tone snotty.

“Well, you can see me, so I’m going with yes.” Reid answered. “You’d miss me if I left, Hank, admit it.”

“You make me ill.”

“As long as you make me a cheeseburger with everything and a side of chili with cornbread, I don’t care how I make you feel.”

Henry opened his mouth to say something, and seemed to think better of it, before writing down the order and attaching it to the rack, sending it to the back.

“How do you stand him, Bubbles?”

“Henry.”

“She’s fascinated by my whit and charm, Hank.”

“Stop antagonizing him.”

The bell over the door rang, signaling that someone had come in, and Reid looked up to see if it was Luke. He froze, and then sighed, seeing Paul Ryan in the doorway.

He’d released Paul from the hospital last week, turning his care over to another doctor, and hoped against hope that he’d never see the psychopath again.

Just another day in Oakhell.

“Paul.” Henry greeted. “What can I get you?”

“Chocolate milkshake.” Paul ordered. “Hi Katie.”

“Hi, Paul, how are you feeling?”

“I’ve been better.”

“I’m sorry to hear that.” She said.

“So I heard that Josie turned on you and Dusty’s out of jail and your wife wants a divorce.” Reid looked at Paul. “Sucks to be you.”

“Rub it in, Dr. Oliver.”

“Thanks, I will.”

“What’s your problem?”

“You really want to know what my problem is?”

“Oh, God.” Henry rolled his eyes. “Here we go.”

“My problem is that you blackmailed me to come to Oakdale, the town the time forgot, and you made me participate in screwing with the head of a very confused little boy, your nephew, I might add.”

“Reid.” Katie put a warning hand on his arm.

“It’s the truth, Katie.”

“You think you know me, Dr. Oliver, but you don’t.”

“And I really don’t want to. Removing a bullet from your brain is about as close as I want to get to you.”

“Would you two stop it?” Henry snapped. “You’re going to scare off my customers.”

“I think your shirt will take care of that.”

“Katie!”

“Reid.”

“What?”

Henry handed Paul his milkshake, and Paul stood up to leave.

The bell above the door rang again, and then Luke was walking inside, Jade on his heels. Luke stopped as he caught sight of Paul, glaring at him.

Reid was thankful that Paul didn’t try to talk to Luke, just waited for Luke to walk around him before leaving. Luke shook his head, and walked over to where Katie and Reid were sitting.

“You’re late.”

“I wasn’t aware I was on a clock, Dr. Oliver.” Luke said, bending down and giving him a quick kiss. For once, Reid was the one blushing, and Luke looked very satisfied.

“Oh my God.” Henry comment from behind the counter.

“What?” Katie asked him.

“You’re really gay.” Henry replied, setting Reid’s order down on the counter.

“You didn’t believe me when I said I was?” Reid replied, eating a bite of cornbread. “I mean, I understand why people aren’t sure about you.”

Henry sputtered for a second and then turned to look at Luke.

“What do you see in this guy?” He didn’t give Luke a chance to answer. “What happened to Noah?”

Luke flinched, and Reid tried not to react.

“Have you been living under a rock, Henry?” Jade finally said.

“Well, I never!” Henry exclaimed.

“Maybe you should.” Reid wiggled his eyebrows in Henry’s direction.

“I enjoyed it.” Luke said.

“Damn right you did.”

“Okay, let’s leave poor Henry alone.” Katie laughed, and the four of them moved over to a booth.

The waitress came over, and Luke and Jade put their orders in. They made small talk while they waited for the food.

“So, I have some news.” Katie said. “Brad and I are trying to have a baby.”

“Awww.” Jade replied.

“Katie, that’s amazing.” Luke told her. Reid didn’t say anything, too busy shoveling food into his mouth. Luke nudged him, and he glanced up.

“That’s great, Katie.” She just snorted.

The rest of lunch passed quickly, and soon they were getting ready to leave.

“You coming, Jade?” Luke asked, as he followed Reid to the door.

“Actually, I needed to talk to Katie about something.”

“Okay.” Luke said, and Reid tugged his arm, pulling him out the door.

*

“Luke?” Reid asked.

“Yeah?”

“What the hell just happened?”

“I’m pretty sure that Katie and Jade just locked us in a closet.”
