Author's Note: This story starts the night that Noah finds Luke in Olde Towne and takes him home. It picks up right after Noah leaves. In my head, that makes Luke 19 and Reid 30,(using the DVD of Reid around 12 yrs old as being taped in 1990). This might end up being the dirtiest thing I've ever written. *hides* Huge thank you's to my official beta for this fic, stl29tide, and alissablue for all her EPIC research. :)

Basically, I'm hijacking the Paul/Josie/Dusty plot for my purposes. Don't know who Josie is? If you visit Dusty's Wikipedia page here, you can read up on it. I'm changing mostly just the dates for the plot, so it runs alongside Luke's plot line. I will probably AU it a lot. Also, in my fic, Dusty/Josie have known each other for a few weeks, and it was Paul's idea to call in Reid (He told Dusty that it was prove Josie was faking, but in reality he wants Reid to keep his scheme going).

“Luke, did you hear me?” He couldn’t look away from Reid’s eyes. He clapped a hand over his neck, stepped back from Noah.

“It’s nothing, Noah.” Luke said, feeling awkward. “I was teasing Faith and she decided to pinch me.”

“She got you good.” Noah laughed.

“Yeah.” He agreed, glancing at Reid again. “I guess she did.”

Over the course of the afternoon, Reid learned from Emma that Jack and Janet (who’d gotten married the week before) were leaving on their belated honeymoon, as well as Lucinda and Brian (as Lucinda was under the weather), would not be joining them for dinner. Reid was grateful, because the sheer number of people in the house at Thanksgiving had made him want to break out in hives. He also was relieved that he would not have to run interference between Luke and Brian. Emma made him taste everything several times, and he couldn’t help but flirt with her a little.

She blushed prettily, and Reid knew Luke was smiling about it when ever he came into the room. The shrieks of the kids sledding out back caused Luke and Noah to drag Jade outside with them.

Reid spent the afternoon thinking about the look on Luke’s face when Noah had asked the mark on his neck. He shouldn’t have done it, he supposed, let alone repeatedly. Something about Luke made him instinctively possessive, and he’d wanted to show the world that he’d been there first.

Or maybe just Noah.

Lily and Holden showed up shortly before dinner (without Meg), rounding up the kids and bringing them inside to get changed and cleaned up to eat. Reid was sitting at the table, nursing a beer when Luke dropped into the seat next to him.

“You like my grandmother.” He grinned, and Reid couldn’t help but smile back.

“She fed me.”

“So you’re a food person.”

“You should see him eat.” Katie said, sitting across from them. Her cheeks were flushed, and her hair was windblown. Emma stepped out of the kitchen for a moment, looking for a centerpiece for the table. “So, you and Noah, huh?”

“Katie.” Reid glared. She just smiled. Luke turned red, his face flushing.

“Yeah.” Luke said softly, and Reid could feel Luke’s eyes on him.

The moment was interrupted by everyone coming in and finding places to sit down for dinner. Emma brought the ham over to the table, and asked everyone to join hands.

Reid held Luke’s hand tightly, relishing in the simple touch of his skin to Luke’s.

Fuck, he had it bad. It would be better for everyone if he just went back to Dallas. He couldn’t…stand to be around Luke and watch him be with Noah. He couldn’t help but think of Thanksgiving and remember how he and Luke had stared at each other during the prayer.

Dinner was a noisy affair, everyone talking at once. Reid kept quiet, only responding when asked a direct question. He ate mounds of Emma’s delicious food to keep his mouth occupied and his mind off of Luke, which was difficult with the blond sitting next to him.

Katie kept her knowing eyes on him all through dinner, only looking away when Brad wanted her attention.

Pie and coffee was passed around as darkness fell, and light snow began drifting down from the sky.

Lily and Holden rounded up the kids and bundled them off into the car, heading home. Katie was helping Emma clean up while Brad watched a football game in the living room. Luke and Noah were staying at the farm for the night, a fact that would have displeased Reid to no end, except that Katie had let it slip about Emma’s ‘No pre-marital sex in the house’ rule. Reid supposed that rule didn’t apply to the barn.

There was a knock at the door, and Noah answered it.

“Maddie!” He exclaimed, letting the younger girl into the house with a hug. Reid saw Luke’s face go from a smile to a frown, before forcing a smile back on his face.

That was in interesting.

Maddie stepped away from Noah and gave Luke a hug as well, which he returned.

“So, I know it’s getting late, but I wanted to bring your presents by - I would have been earlier, but Henry and Vienna had all this drama - anyway. Here.”

She handed them presents, and Noah was the first to get his open.

“How did you get this?” He asked Maddie, looking exciting. “I’ve been trying to get a copy for years.” He gestured with the DVD case.

“I have my ways.” She said, smiling. “I though we could watch it while I’m in town.”

“What about right now?”

“Seriously? Yeah, okay.”

“You don’t mind, right, Luke?” Noah asked. Luke shook his head, Maddie’s unopened present in his hands. Noah took Maddie’s hand and led her into the other room, presumably to go upstairs and watch the movie. Luke stared after them and then grabbed his coat, going outside.

Reid waited a few minutes, until Brad was wrapped up in whatever was going on onscreen, and headed outside after Luke.
