Author's Note: This story starts the night that Noah finds Luke in Olde Towne and takes him home. It picks up right after Noah leaves. In my head, that makes Luke 19 and Reid 30,(using the DVD of Reid around 12 yrs old as being taped in 1990). This might end up being the dirtiest thing I've ever written. *hides* Huge thank you's to my official beta for this fic, stl29tide, and alissablue for all her EPIC research. :)

Basically, I'm hijacking the Paul/Josie/Dusty plot for my purposes. Don't know who Josie is? If you visit Dusty's Wikipedia page here, you can read up on it. I'm changing mostly just the dates for the plot, so it runs alongside Luke's plot line. I will probably AU it a lot. Also, in my fic, Dusty/Josie have known each other for a few weeks, and it was Paul's idea to call in Reid (He told Dusty that it was prove Josie was faking, but in reality he wants Reid to keep his scheme going).

All Luke could do was stare at Katie in shock.

Reid seemed to realize this, and tugged hard on his jeans to get them up over his hips. He zipped them, and fastened the button, leaving the belt undone. He grabbed Luke by the hips with both hands, lifting the younger man up and off of him without exposing anything (else) Katie shouldn't see. Luke blinked, finding himself sitting on the blanket, Reid getting up and putting his shoes on wordlessly.

“Please.” The voice that spoke is low and broken sounding and Luke was shocked to realize that it was him. He was still staring at Katie, whose eyes had widened almost comically. Luke could feel Reid's eyes on him as well, but he couldn't look away from Katie. “Please don't tell.” He sounded young, afraid.

Katie's gaze softened a little, and she glanced at Reid.

“Promise me, Katie.” He was still speaking in a little voice. “Please.” His eyes were wide with unshod tears - he could feel them forming behind his eyes. Katie climbed the rest of the way up the ladder and perched on the edge of the loft. Luke was shaking.

“You're old enough to know what you're doing and who you're doing it with, Luke.” She said. He closed his eyes in relief. “I just...I'm worried about you.” Luke choked out a laugh.

“Every one's so worried but no one cares.” He whispered. His eyes were still closed, missing the glance that Reid threw his way.

“Katie, can you...” Reid gestured for her to climb down, Luke peering at him in surprise. “Actually wait.” He said, seeing that she had her purse hanging from her shoulder. “Do you have a pen?” Luke watched wordlessly as Katie handed Reid a pen and then disappeared down the ladder. Reid silently made his way back to Luke, kneeling down in front of him. “Luke?” Luke's eyes met Reid's.

Reid pulled his wallet out of his back pocket, slipping out a card and writing on it.

“I have something for you.” He said, taking Luke’s hand, turning it palm side up and setting the card in it. Startled, Luke glanced down. Wide-eyed, Luke finally drew his gaze from his hand to Reid's face. Reid was giving him that half smile.

“A business card?” Luke asked. “You shouldn’t have.” He teased with a smile.

“That’s what I’m thinking.” Reid joked. “We seem to fit together pretty well.” He murmured, leaning closer, and Luke inhaled sharply.

He ghosted his lips across Luke's, his tongue teasing a trail from Luke's down to his neck. Reid bit down lightly on the mark he'd made earlier, and Luke jerked, making a noise.

“If you decide you want to...see me.” Reid smirked, pointing to Luke's hand. “I'll assume you know how you use a phone.”

With that, Luke let out an actual laugh.

“No one but the hospital has this number.” Reid said quietly, and Luke's stomach did a flip-flop at those words.

He felt like they should be significant, should have meaning, but all he could think was that he could call Reid whenever he wanted.

He smiled at Reid, leaning up and pressing his lips to the older man's.

“Thank you.”

“Don't make me regret it.” Reid gave him one last kiss before turning and walking to the ladder. “Happy Thanksgiving, Luke.” And then Reid was gone, the sound of the barn door opening and shutting cutting through the silent night.

Happy Thanksgiving indeed.

Luke stared at his hand and grinned.

“You’ve been in town for four days. How did you meet Luke?” Katie asked, giving Reid a long look. “I know he didn’t just fall into bed with you after one day.”

“Technically, that wasn’t a bed.” Reid pointed out, flashing a half-smile.

“Yeah, so you have straw in bad places, whatever.” Katie glared. “I hope you know what you're doing.” She said as they walked back to the car. Brad was waiting for them, the car running.

“He's a grown man, Katie.”

“He's nineteen, and he's confused about his life, Reid.”

“Who the hell isn't at nineteen?” Reid asked, pulling Katie to a stop. “Look, he's still dealing with...everything.” He felt extremely awkward now, and he was sure that it showed. “Did you mean it when you said you'd keep quiet?”

Katie nodded after a moment, looking reluctant.

“Just don't...” She trailed off.

“Don't what?”

“Don't break him.”

Reid didn't have a reply for that, and the two of them finished their walk to the car in silence.

Reid's phone vibrated and he glanced down at with a smile.
