Author's Note: This story starts the night that Noah finds Luke in Olde Towne and takes him home. It picks up right after Noah leaves. In my head, that makes Luke 19 and Reid 30,(using the DVD of Reid around 12 yrs old as being taped in 1990). This might end up being the dirtiest thing I've ever written. *hides* Huge thank you's to my official beta for this fic, stl29tide, and alissablue for all her EPIC research. :)

Basically, I'm hijacking the Paul/Josie/Dusty plot for my purposes. Don't know who Josie is? If you visit Dusty's Wikipedia page here, you can read up on it. I'm changing mostly just the dates for the plot, so it runs alongside Luke's plot line. I will probably AU it a lot. Also, in my fic, Dusty/Josie have known each other for a few weeks, and it was Paul's idea to call in Reid (He told Dusty that it was prove Josie was faking, but in reality he wants Reid to keep his scheme going).

Luke woke up with a pounding headache. He opened his eyes, the sun shining in the window making him wince, and he put his hand over his forehead with groan. It took him a second to remember where he was.

Oh, God.

He'd kissed Reid in public.

Noah had punched Reid in the face.

Noah knew.

Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes, and he fought them back. Luke rolled over onto his back, staring up at the ceiling.

He was stuck here, with Reid. Even his Grandmother had sold him out.

Luke sighed.

“Good, you're awake.” Reid spoke up from the doorway. He was eating what looked like a monstrously large breakfast sandwich, looking way too hot for his own good.

“Go away.” Luke muttered, the smell from Reid's food permeating his nostrils and making his stomach roll.

“Get up.”

“No.”

“Suit yourself.” Reid shrugged, and took another large bite. “Stay in bed, feel sorry for yourself.”

“Sounds like a plan.” Luke managed.

“Don't expect me to join your pity party.”

“Wasn't counting on it.” His stomach rolled again. All he could smell was Reid's food. He couldn't take it anymore. The bile was rising in the back of his throat. Luke clapped a hand to his mouth, and practically fell out of the bed, stumbling to the bathroom, where he promptly threw up.

*

Reid handed Luke a wet wash cloth, and the blonde used it to wipe his mouth.

Luke slumped back against the toilet, pale and shaking.

“Hangovers suck.” He muttered.

“You would know.”

“Bite me.”

“Right now, I'm not even sure you could tempt a vampire.” He waved a hand in front of his nose. “You smell.”

“Seriously, you're going to kick me while I'm down?” Reid shrugged. “Great, thanks.”

“Take a shower. Eat breakfast.” Reid said, standing up. “Then we'll talk.”

“Can't wait.”

*

Luke was picking at his food, his freshly washed hair falling in his eyes. Reid was staring at him from across the table, where he was nursing a cup of coffee.

“You should eat.”

“I'm not hungry.” Luke said quietly.

“It'll help get the alcohol out of your system faster.”

“Really not something I care about right now.”

“And that's why you're here, Luke.”

“No, I'm here because you couldn't stay out of my business and keep your mouth shut.” Luke snapped, slamming his fork down on the table. He groaned, pressing his fingertips to his forehead as if to ease the throbbing.

“All you're doing is making this worse for yourself.”

“What, I'm supposed to like being held under lock and key by you?”

“It could be worse.”

“What's worse than that?”

“You could be dead.”

*

“You wanted to talk.” Luke was slumped down on the couch, his arms crossed over his chest. Reid held in a sigh, and summoned all his strength to keep from throttling the younger man. He might love him, but the kid was driving him insane.

Oh, fuck.

Love?

Reid picked up his cup of coffee and went to sit next to Luke on the couch.

“We need to talk about the rules, Luke.”

“Rules?” Luke asked. “What are you, my father?” He rolled his eyes and then winced.

“No, I'm someone who cares enough about you to save you from yourself.”

“You might be God in the operating room,” Luke glared at him. “But you're not my Savior.”

“Well, I'm the only one you've got.” Reid snapped, his patience worn thin. “So here's how it's going to play out.”

*

Luke bit his lip to keep from commenting on Reid's rules. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this humiliated...and to feel that way because of Reid...it was almost too much to take in.

Curfews, rules about calling, no drinking...

“And if you slip up once...I mean, even once, Luke...that's it.”

“What's that supposed to mean?”

“It means I call your grandmother and you're a limo ride away from the nearest Betty Ford clinic.” Luke snorted. “I'm serious, Luke.”

“Yeah, I got it.” He stared at the floor. “Don't you have an else where you could be?” Reid smirked.

“I need to talk to Katie, so yeah, I can let you have some time alone.” With that, Reid stood up and made his way to the door. He grabbed his coat, and opened the door to see Lily and Holden Snyder on the porch. “He's all yours.” Reid gestured to Luke, before brushing past them.

Luke felt like he was going to be sick again as he stared at the worried and disappointed expressions on his parent's faces.
