100 things: 100 photos - photo 22

There are three things I really like about this photo. One: it's a true snapshot of a brief moment in time. Two: the film poster on the bus will forever mark it as belonging to a specific date in time. Three: the fact that the bus hides it from view makes you even more curious about the building behind.

The building behind is the Horniman Museum. This is a museum in the south of London. It's a bit out of the way to get to, but it's an interesting quaint little museum that also has some nice grounds you can walk around.

The Horniman Museum started as a private collection that was opened up to the public by the owner back in Victorian times. Since then it has grown, but the eclectic nature of the exhibits remain. There is a musical instruments collection, various anthropological collections, a natural history collection and even an aquarium.
