100 things: 100 photos - photo 9
Today I have a photo that is guaranteed to make everyone in the north hemisphere dream of the summer to come - in many many months yet. I took this photo on the last good summer I've had. The last summer I had a real job and took a proper long summer holiday. Thank god it was brilliant summer holiday!
This photo is from Damouchari, a seaside resort in Pelio in mainland Greece. Yes, you don't have to go to the islands to find nice beaches, Pelio has some lovely ones with crystal blue waters. Pelio is a gorgeous place, lots of greenery, beautiful mountain villages, and gorgeous beaches. The only down-side is that a lot of it is very quiet and family orientated.
I like this photo. It's fun and active. Also, since it's taken in the evening, there is a sort of melancholy tinge to it. But most of all it tells a story and captures a moment in time and certain feeling.
