I am awake, actually, still up, from the 5:30am wake up yell from Maurelle this morning. So, unable to shut my mind back off, and with Rob taking a shower, I figured I would try to wake up my brain fully and read some email before the kids wake up.

Today was a day of relaxation, a bit of sewing, some eBay bidding, and not much else. I took the first shift this morning, allowing c0demonkey the luxury of sleeping in till he was ready to get up, since he did the same for me yesterday. I had first shift with the kids in the morning, while c0demonkey slept in. I then napped near noon for a couple of hours. I found Rob and Cam outside in the cold putting together some of the new Christmas lawn decorations, so those went up nicely. Well, yesterday I was able to get a basic sleeve sloper pattern drafted, then proceeded to draft out both my kirtle sleeves and my gown sleeve patterns. I also got the kirtle sleeves cut out from the linen fabrics, and one layer of drill for the foresleeves. The gown sleeve pattern has to be fitted to the gown opening, so I am holding off on doing ( Read more... )

In health news, my tummy is starting to do a little better. Not having to run to the bathroom all the time is nice. I am just so very hungry right now. I had soft rice for lunch, and it doesn't last long, but at least it is gentle to my stomach ( Read more... )
