Since I was working on stuff, I thought I'd make a new icon for both of my blogs.

Man, I'm still tired and a little sore in odd places, but still happy from yesterday's event, The Festival of the Rose and Olde Timers Tourney, which was in Lake Balboa (northern Los Angeles area). It was a very good day for me. ( where I get long winded but share my happy news... )

Last Saturday was our Baronial Yule, and it was an enjoyable if brief evening of good folks and great food - potluck style. There were many folks there I didn't know or knew minimally, and I'm not a social butterfly so I kinda stayed around some of the ladies and gents that I knew. Yesterday was Collegium in the West Kingdom. First time I've done a West Kingdom event, and it was a very enjoyable Collegium. It was held in Unitarian Church in downtown San Jose, that had a beautiful Sanctuary with lovely stained glass windows. I went with my Barony friend, Pamela. There are a few things I am pondering on, that has my mind in a whir. One just today, when I found out a friend in the West Kingdom is going to be elevated to a Laurel this upcoming 12th Night (go sarahbellem!). I would really like to watch this happen. Home from Caid's Pentathalon arts competition, and I am exhausted. Happy to report I did far better than I had expected with four First places out of five. Got 2 in apprentice (illumination and orange marmalade) and 2 in Journeyman (Phyllis gown and blackwork partlet).
