I hate mornings...

I am awake, actually, still up, from the 5:30am wake up yell from Maurelle this morning. So, unable to shut my mind back off, and with Rob taking a shower, I figured I would try to wake up my brain fully and read some email before the kids wake up.

How could you??
What a horrible thing to do to a perfectly good brain!
What did it ever do to you to deserve that?
;->
Heheheheh.

I knew that hemp was used for clothing by sailors (when the sailcloth rips, you use the scraps for other things), but I wasn't aware of how commonly it was used.

My brain decided to fight me, and never woke up today.

And I think the book mentioned using hemp canvas for farthingales, bodices, and other places that linen or now cotton canvas would be used.

I plan on making a chart of some of the info in that book, once I get it scanned.

If you have time, the Fresno Adult school offers classes on basic sewing. I have my Mom to thank for teaching me when I was young.

I started sewing about two years ago. Okay, 2 1/2 now.

Really, it's not that hard. But like everything else, it requires a time commitment and a desire to learn that's stronger than the desire to do other things instead.
