What I've noticed with the newest release of Adobe is if you don't have the stupid icon on the desktop at all times (and I likes me a tidy desktop, so I can see the picture I chose as background, dammit), it won't work.

Oh, it sounds like things are going well for you - you're so much further along than we are on getting the Christmas decorations out. The Friday after Thanksgiving is usually my Dad and the Hubby's big light-and-lawn-decorations bonding extravaganza, but this year, eh, nobody seemed to have the energy. :) Maybe next weekend.
