Foody Thursday - Halloween "Pumpkin" Salad

Oct 31, 2013 18:20

Happy Halloween Everyone! I am a little late today with my Halloween Food - having a good day, computer broke down, microwave fell off, I think my house is haunted...
Oh, well, I am not afraid of anything because I am the scariest one out there! Halloween "Pumpkin" Salad

We will need:

Oranges
Avocado
Olive Oil
Sushi Nori
Lemon Juice
Salt

1. Cut the top of the orange, and get the orange out of the skin. It is pretty easy - just stick a finger between the skin and orange and push it around till you can get it out. Try not to squish it too much.

2. Now cut out the "faces" - same us you do with your pumpkins. You will need a sharp knife

3. Put a piece of sushi nori inside the orange skin to make the features more distinct and to keep your salad from falling out. This is an optional step

4. Prepare the salad - cube oranges and avocados, add olive oil, few drops of lemon juice and some salt.

5. Stuff your "pumpkins"

6. Have fun!
