Foody Thursday - Beef Stroganoff

Kid's and adults ever favorite - Beef Stroganoff. Goes well with any side - pasta, mashed potatoes, quinoa, rice, buckwheat.




Ingredients:

1. Beef - 2 lbs
2. Flour - 1/2 cup
3. Butter - 1/2 cup
4. Milk - 2-3 cups
5. Large onion - 1
6. Oil - 2-3 tbsp
7. Salt
8. Pepper
9. Chopped parsley - fresh or dry - 2-3 tbsp
10. Sour-cream - 1/2 cup

Lets get cooking!

1. Beef cut into strips and cook in a dry frying pan stirring often until golden.

2. Prepare Sauce Blanche de base - in a medium size pan melt butter, stir in flour, mix until smooth, add milk in small portions constantly stirring. Keep adding milk till the desired consistency.

3. In a separate frying pan caramelize finely chopped onion with some oil.

4. In a larger pan combine Sauce Blanche, remaining spices, cooked beef, caramelized onions, sour cream and cook on slow for 15-20 minutes, stir often!

5. Serve hot over your favourite side. We happened to have spaghetti. Bon Appetit!
