Thanksgiving Long Weekend - Collingwood Ski and Snowboard Swap

Oct 11, 2013 22:09

Did not make plans for the long weekend yet? Here is an idea - Collingwood Ski and Snowboard Swap, started today and will run up to October 13. Enormous ski, snowboard and accessories annual sale.

Weather was wonderful and we were up for some adventure. We got to Collingwood around noon. They really have a lot of stuff this year. We got snow suits for the kids - can't believe my 12-year old needed size 16 and my 8-year old got size 10. And Mama got the skis! Finally don't have to rent this year.

With a feeling of a great accomplishment went for a quick lunch to MJ Byrne's Irish Pub. Food was very unhealthy and very delicious!

And someone even got a beer!

Food was good, stuff was friendly - would highly recommend!
After lunch we surely had to climb the mountain! Unfortunately this air walk adventure was closed.

Here is the trail. It was a little hard to get up there after the food we had....

More beautiful leaves...

And finally the fabulous view from the mountain. Most of the leaves are gone, but it is still breathtaking!

Normal people take a lift up and then walk down. Well, we did exactly the opposite.

Kids did not get enough and decided to go wall-climbing

Our last stop was the famous Chocolate Factory!

I have another 200 photos with all the street decorations and bike trails and restaurants and ice-cream shops, but don't want to bore anyone here - go see by yourself! And have fun long weekend!
