Yesterday was absolutely grand. Sam N had set up a surprise gathering for Blue and pooka_madness at Merle's, since both of them had birthdays over spring break. I've just finished reading a really, really good trilogy. The "Sevenwaters" trilogy by Juliet Marillier: Daughter of the Forest, Son of the Shadows, and Child of the Prophecy. Excellent books, all. Today's been....an interesting day all the way round. Modern Ireland involved a great quote about a law passed during the Irish Civil War of 1921-23: "This act allowed for arrest, imprisonment, and execution without trial or evidence.
