I've just finished reading a really, really good trilogy. The "Sevenwaters" trilogy by Juliet Marillier: Daughter of the Forest, Son of the Shadows, and Child of the Prophecy. Excellent books, all. I highly recommend them to anyone who likes Patricia Kennealy-Morrison, or faerie tales retold in interesting ways, or Irish history/myth, or just

You just now read those? I could have recommended those ages ago. Yes, yes, wonderful books, though I believe her newest one isn't quiet as wonderful. If you like those, you must read Jacqueline Carey's series, Kushiel's Dart, Kushiel's Chosen, and Kushiel's Avatar. They are, by far, the most well written books I have ever read in my life, not to mention my favorite. I feel they are one step above even Marillier's books, as much as I love those. But I will warn you, Carey's series has a bit of erotic sex, but it's so well written....

I've heard good things about it, yes, and I plan to read it. If you don't mind a rather sensually designed world, I highly recommend Anne Bishop's "Black Jewels" trilogy. It's utterly fascinating and the characters rock.
