This past week I went to a conference of the American Academy of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia. My paper was well received, and had an audience of about 42 members.   I plan to work it into an article when I have the time.  Will I ever have time again? Today has been a busy day.  In one week I'll be on a plane for Atlanta and I've still got a lot to do before I'm ready to go.  But I'm getting shit done.  My paper is finished, and I've shifted my focus to the Powerpoint presentation.

Fanfiction Dilemma

I just finished proofreading the article that the Journal of Bisexuality is publishing.  Their editors have done a great job.  I sound so smart.  I'm really looking forward to it.  It's also given me a renewed excitement about submitting more articles.  Project for March: submit more articles to journals.

Seattle, here I come.  I've packed and double-checked it all.  I'm set for the trip and looking forward to it despite the fact that my head kind of pounds.  Outside someone is playing a big drum.  It's probably that dancing dragon.  Cabin pressure is going to be a real bitch.  But I think the event itself will be pretty fun.  It's going up to 14 ( Read more... )

• I have selected and checked my wardrobe.  It's feminine, yet comfortable and professional.

I've made excellent headway on the speech.  It's improved a lot and I see it reaching a point I could call "done" soon.   Converting my usual jargon-speak to natural English is very difficult for me because the jargon-speak is how I think.  Next comes the practicing and the memorizing.
