I'm finally starting to feel excited about the trip. Maybe because I feel more prepared.
- I have selected and checked my wardrobe. It's feminine, yet comfortable and professional.
- I've packed my bag. It's heavy as hell but small and easy to handle. It can come with me as carry-on. If I keep up with this travel thing at some point in the future I will get one of those little bags on wheels.
- I've finished my speech. It's informative and organized but doesn't assume a background in bi issues. It's 22 pages long in 14pt font. I emailed myself a copy in case my hardcopy is destroyed and I have to download and reprint it there.
- I've left the details on where I'll be with mr_pugh.
- I have the address and phone numbers of the Canadian consulate in Seattle in case everything goes to hell in a handbag.
- I have the details on the store in Seattle that might have Daiya cheese. I hope they have it and that I can bring it with me without customs issues.
- I have several paperbacks (given to me by a nice customer at work) to occupy my time.
- I've loaded up my ipod with a ton of music.
All I've got left to do now is practice the speech some more.
Today I'm also going to make
mr_pugh a vegan icecream birthday cake. I've planned it out pretty well and I expect it will rock. My sinuses are killing me, and I'll be stocking up on sinus pills before I go.
