There's a lot going on in my mind lately that I'd love to post about, but I've been too busy to do so.  I'm heading to Ottawa tomorrow for five days to attend the Rainbow Health Ontario conference, volunteering/working, and presenting two workshops.  I still have work to do on the workshops I'm presenting there, which leaves me less than thrilled ( Read more... )

This past week I went to a conference of the American Academy of Religion in Atlanta, Georgia. My paper was well received, and had an audience of about 42 members.   I plan to work it into an article when I have the time.  Will I ever have time again?  I had an awesome time in Seattle.  Jeff, the organizer and his wife, Carol were welcoming and hospitable and I could easily have enjoyed spending more time there.  They showed me bits of Seattle as we drove along, which I appreciated.  Their home was lovely (he's an architect, so you can imagine) and I was very comfortable ( Read more... )

Seattle, here I come.  I've packed and double-checked it all.  I'm set for the trip and looking forward to it despite the fact that my head kind of pounds.  Outside someone is playing a big drum.  It's probably that dancing dragon.  Cabin pressure is going to be a real bitch.  But I think the event itself will be pretty fun.  It's going up to 14 ( Read more... )

I'm finally starting to feel excited about the trip.  Maybe because I feel more prepared.  

• I have selected and checked my wardrobe.  It's feminine, yet comfortable and professional.
