I worked 68 hours this past week. It's been 17 days since I had a day off. I am taking today off.  I am going to a spa. I am going shopping for clothes I need. I am eating lunch in a restaurant. I may even go to a movie. I am trying really really hard not to feel bad about this.

Summary: Things feel good. I am going to work less and enjoy life more. Somehow.

Relationship

My AAR proposal to the Queer Theory and LGBT Studies in Religion consultation has been rejected.  Le Sigh.  That leaves one still to hear back on.  If I don't get picked to present there's no way I can justify paying to go to Atlanta. Beaucoup de sigh.

Today I got a cc of an email to my examining committee, aiming to set a date for the defence. The proposed dates are July 6-17, or early September. I'd prefer July, frankly.
