So there was a typo in my dissertation title page - it said 2008 instead of 2009.  None of the half dozen or so of us who read it caught it.  So now I have to get the whole thing rebound.  It will cost me $50.

 I found a job I want to apply for.  It's teaching courses in Religion & Women at UofT Mississauga.  I've emailed four people asking if they could provide letters of reference.  I need three.  The deadline is the end of November.  My teaching experience isn't what they'd like, but I fit the rest of it well.  Here's hoping I can pull it together.

I'm working like a maniac. A coworker went to Ireland and I'm filling in some shifts, plus I've added an extra workday to my week now that school's over. Some of these shifts will end at 11p.m., which will be a stretch for me since my usual bedtime is 10:30p.m. A coworker suggested I just drink a lot of coffee, but I haven't had coffee of tea in ( Read more... )

 I'm going just a little batshit crazy trying to finish this article for JOB.  It's under the page limit (good), it's in APA format (which I hate but think I have done correctly) and makes a coherent argument.  I'm gonna take a little break from it to refresh my brain and then do one final read-over before sending it.

I'm in the home stretch of assignments.  I've mailed a grant application (fingers crossed), and I've finished the index to my dissertation.  Tomorrow I take it to the printers for binding.  I could go over it all again looking for typos, but I'm really kind of sick of that now.  Once the pdf is dropped at the printers all I've got left to do before ( Read more... )

I passed!!!!! I'm now Dr. Moogie.

Some of the qestions & critiques were pretty tough, but in the end they passed the disssertation without qualification. I was fully prepared for passed with revisions, or even major revisions if someone had a bee in their bonnet; but as it is I have to correct one typo.
