I'm such a pussy.  We took Archie to the vet today.  He cottoned on that something was afoot when he spotted me cutting up an old blanket - I put it in the carrier to make him more comfortable.  mr_pugh  tried to scoop him up for the box and Archie tore him open in several places trying to leap to freedom.  The poor bastard.  He howled in pain (mr_pugh , not ( Read more... )

I ate breakfast yesterday.  That's where it all started to go wrong.  Maybe the tofu was bad, or the hash browns.  But I had cramps all day which culminated in severe sickness that hit suddenly at 7p.m. (while I was at work) and didn't let up until 11 p.m., when I crawled into bed.  On the up side, it may have helped break me of the habit of eating ( Read more... )

On Thursday I had a doctors appointment for a physical.  I want to know if my vitamin and cholesterol levels have changed after 10 months of vegan food. They called me back on Friday to say that they didn't take enough blood for my vitamin D test and I have to go back.  Annoying.  As a weird aside, I couldn't tell when she called if she was saying ( Read more... )

Someone has written on several newspaper boxes in my area. Mostly it's political slogans encouraging people to think for themselves. One constantly makes me laugh. It says "meaningless dribble." I think that was the foul I kept getting called for in High School basketball ( Read more... )
