I've made excellent headway on the speech.  It's improved a lot and I see it reaching a point I could call "done" soon.   Converting my usual jargon-speak to natural English is very difficult for me because the jargon-speak is how I think.  Next comes the practicing and the memorizing. I bought a television.  It's an LG 32" LCD flatscreen (32LH30).  This model had good reviews online.  I bought it at Telecity on Yonge.  I got a good HDMI cable for $16 at PCVC Computer, also on Yonge.  We'll need a second one to attach the playstation.  Last night we set it up and watched Airplane!  and MST3000's the Vanishing Corpse. Our television is dying.  We got it in 1995 as a wedding present from mr_pugh 's parents. It's been twitchy for a few years now; sometimes not turning off, and needing to be unplugged.  Most recently the unplugging/plugging in method resulted in the screen image shifting an inch to the top, so the picture is slightly edited.  mr_pugh claims the picture is also ( Read more... )

October 1 is only six days away. I can't wait for Angel. This season seems to be under the knife, with rumours of cancellation. If the show is going to stay on the air it's going to have to have some dazzling writing (Joss Whedon). I've got a script of Peter's to read. That's going to be fun. I watched the opening episode of the latest season of Six Feet Under. Phil wants to talk abotu it desperately and needs a listener who's seen the show. I watched the episodes of Buffy I hadn't seen, so I'm all caught up now.
