new_man and I have been watching Person of Interest on Netflix. We're almost at the end of season 2. Holy hell, this show is good! The storytelling is fantastic and the creator is clearly in it for the long game. We figured out early on that *everything* is important and not to ignore any detail.

It was a really pleasant long weekend. I didn't do any cooking, but I did start and complete a sewing project and it came out very nicely. You can see it in The Wrathskellar next month.

The ice dams are gone! And we don't seem to have any damage. Well, I did notice two huge slabs of ice on the ground under the worst one and some black mesh that I think was a gutter guard. There's a gas leak on our street. The utility guys have been working all night long, just up the street from our house. The actually works out nicely for us. We easily drove up the street to our house last night (just had to move a traffic cone) and can leave as long as we go the wrong way down the street. This is insane. Our poor little street is piled high and I don't know where we would put more. They're doing snow removal on Dot Ave, but I doubt they can spend the effort on the side streets.
