Thanksgiving dinner with the Foundling is all planned, except for dessert. Still stumped there.

EDIT: Dessert solved!

I was making cornbread for the dressing, which required buttermilk. I was going to do the trick of souring milk with vinegar, but we only keep almond milk and I'm not sure it would work. I went to the Harvest near work to grab a pint of whole milk and discovered that they had *real* buttermilk. So, I'm left with 3/4 of a quart of buttermilk.

How fortunate that one of the cookbooks in my project is The Sour Cream Cookbook. All the recipes use sour cream, sour milk, or buttermilk.

Have I mentioned how much I love the Bed Jet? There is nothing like getting into a bed with pre-warmed sheets. Nothing.

new_man got Albert a birthday present -- a heated cat bed. Okay, it's really a medium dog bed. And it was new_man's birthday. It's stylish leopard print with a squishy pillow and a little zip-on back, presumably to block drafts, or just to make him look more regal. He has no interest in it whatsoever. He'd rather sit on his perch of two old pillows on top of a collapsing cardboard box.

Speaking of new_man's birthday, on Friday we had a lovely dinner at Loyal 9 and then went to see the New England premier of Bonnie and Clyde: The Musical. The set was very good. They had a live band. Some of the performers had good voices. The costumer did a great job recreating Bonnie's famous dress. But the show was extremely long -- the first act was 90 minutes -- and the theatre was in a converted school, probably a middle school from the size of the seats...the uncushioned wooden seats...

We started watching Jessica Jones over the weekend. I'm really liking it, probably more than Daredevil.
