We finished watching Person of Interest over the long weekend. I was holding out for a while because I just didn't want the story to end. However, I'll be on a panel at Arisia discussing the show, so I had to bite the bullet and find out what happened. I'm planning to look at the show from the perspective of long-form storytelling. I made vegan cupcakes last night. I'm usually leery of vegan baked goods, but you really can't tell with these. The only fake food was the milk (soy or rice, I used cashew). No egg substitute, no fake butter.

More things in my garden have survived the winter than I expected. The gillifleurs actually have buds! The strawberries rallied, but there's only one small plant -- although it's got a flower. I am constantly amazed that this big white cat appeared out of nowhere and has become such a central part of our lives.

Made Concord grape focaccia last night.
