( Longish term projects )

It was a really pleasant long weekend. I didn't do any cooking, but I did start and complete a sewing project and it came out very nicely. You can see it in The Wrathskellar next month.

Sour cherry season is over. I still have several pounds of cherries in the fridge to process, but there are no more to pick. Yesterday the birds decided that this was Descend on the Cherries Day. In a week I'm on my way to lovely South Carolina for Costume-Con.Two years in a row. Kind of amazing after not attending for, oh, 17 years.

Now I have to figure out what the heck I'm wearing.

Stuff is growing and blooming just like it's spring! The sour cherry tree has going from blossom to leaf already, but the sweet cherry tree actually has flowers! The original trunk (the one that got broke and healed but hasn't grown) has normal looking flowers, but the 2 new trunklets have mini-flowers. I wonder what will happen with fruit ( Read more... )

The sour cherry tree at Casa Moomba is in full glorious bloom. The poor little cherry twig that's never really grown has leaves, but no blossoms. No cherries there. Again.

The grape vines have buds. I didn't kill them by pruning! Yay!

I attended an SCA event! I honestly think the last one might have been 40th anniversary. It was fun, but there was too much food (not meaning that I had too much food, but that there was much more than necessary for the number of people who came to the event).
