More things in my garden have survived the winter than I expected. The gillifleurs actually have buds! The strawberries rallied, but there's only one small plant -- although it's got a flower. The mint is finally coming back (I'd be very sad if I managed to kill mint), but the rosemary and lavender didn't survive. I have a terrible time ( Read more... )

It was relatively low-key, as it usually is. I believe Albert got more presents than either of us did.

It was a really pleasant long weekend. I didn't do any cooking, but I did start and complete a sewing project and it came out very nicely. You can see it in The Wrathskellar next month.

Judy Blume's book Tiger Eyes was made into a movie! She wrote the script along with her son, who directed the film. I have high hopes.

It's my favorite book of hers (even if it does diss the SCA in passing) -- I was exactly the right age when I read it.

It's not playing around here, but it'll be available for streaming on Friday.

I wish I could go to London this summer and see thisI watched most of a "observational" documentary on the Crazy Horse in Paris last night. I must be a philistine because the majority of the reviews I read today thought it was brilliant. I found it extremely tedious ( Read more... )
