Wednesday last week was a mostly quiet one, with a radio club committee meeting in the evening. I spent part of the day changing the oil in my lawn mower. The old oil took a while to drain out. It took a while longer to re-fill and get the level correct, partly because I over-estimated how much oil it needed, so had to take some of the excess out, ( Read more... )

The rest of last week (Tuesday to Friday) wasn't too bad from the weather perspective. I walked to the shops on Friday thinking I was quite over-dressed. That changed overnight. The extra snow forecast for the end of last month did turn up. It wasn't as heavy as it might have been, but it was accompanied by a distinct drop in temperature which had me putting the boiler into constant mode to stop the house from freezing. For a while the place also looked quite pretty.

I've been over to Gravesend for gaming on both the Fridays since my last post. Jackie has also been there both times. I don't recall what (if anything) we played on the first occasion, but this last Friday we played "Cytosis", a worker-placement game based on cell bio-chemistry.
