The weather's been slightly less than helpful this week. Monday and Tuesday weren't at all bad. They weren't even all that cold, and we even got a little garden work done. While there's been a bit of rain in the last week, it's mostly been at night. The gutter work I started last Thursday took me most of Friday and Saturday afternoons, and finally got finished off on Monday, partly because ther were other things to be done as well, and partly because the daylight is getting short at this time of year. We've even had a couple of days without rain, whih has made a difference! The garden is still rather damp, though. I tried to make some progress with the series of beds between the levels, but the clay in the soil made that hard work. The weather on Monday was reasonable. We were able to get a few things done in the garden, including a bit more leaf-raking and such-like, without getting more than very lightly rained on. This week's been a bit of a "run out of steam" week. The wet weather hasn't helped. It rained for most of the day on Wednesday, again all day on Friday, and the forecast for today includes an amber warning for rain. Last Monday my mother and I headed east to visit cousins in Fulham. We spent the night there, and my sister came there from Heathrow early on Tuesday morning after her flight from Australia.
