Last Monday my mother and I headed east to visit cousins in Fulham. We spent the night there, and my sister came there from Heathrow early on Tuesday morning after her flight from Australia. One niece (S) and two nephews (A and H) have been to stay, at least in part so that they could catch up with their grandmother. She put them to work. Quite a bit got done in the garden, and the bonfire pile is now quite large and waiting for a sensible bonfire occasion. Having fixed the antenna on Saturday, I was able to catch the radio club top-band Net on Sunday without difficulty. Actually getting up and moving on Sunday, however, was a bit more of a struggle, but I did get out and over to Gravesend before mid-afternoon, though I had to take a cross-country non-motorway route because the M25 was doing car-park ( Read more... )

I've been over to Gravesend for gaming on both the Fridays since my last post. Jackie has also been there both times. I don't recall what (if anything) we played on the first occasion, but this last Friday we played "Cytosis", a worker-placement game based on cell bio-chemistry.
