It's been a busy couple of weeks, and I've been rather distracted, so havn't even read that much on LJ/DW in that time...
The NMC rehearsal on Sunday almost two weeks ago went well enough. We were a bit depleted for various reasons, but that meant we could concentrate on learning parts.
Colin came to stay Monday night, and we went to the evening's radio club meeting.
There was an astronomical society meeting on the Wednesday evening; an interesting talk on galaxy formation and evolution.
Thursday morning started very early, with a trip to Heathrow to collect my mother and sister-in-law. We were back in time for me to catch the weekly Morse practice broadcast, and I didn't do too terribly badly considering.
My sister-in-law headed off for parts west and north on Friday morning.
On the Sunday we went out to visit Emmetts Garden. There's been quite a change in the blooms in the two and a bit weeks since our previous visit.
On the bank holiday Monday we went to visit cousins in Fulham. The London traffic's never much fun, but it wasn't too bad, and we had a good gathering.
On Tuesday I took Alex back to Stanstead. The drive home afterwards involved an enormous thunderstorm and a lot of revolting grey soupy run-off on the roads, but thankfully the traffic was treating the weather with appropriate caution. In the evening I went out for steak with a few radio club friends.
There was no Morse practice this Thursday morning. In the evening my sister-in-law and her two younger kids arrived to spend a few days.
Yesterday we went to Bluewater...
