Another Catch-up...

I've been over to Gravesend for gaming on both the Fridays since my last post. Jackie has also been there both times. I don't recall what (if anything) we played on the first occasion, but this last Friday we played "Cytosis", a worker-placement game based on cell bio-chemistry. Jackie won, but then it was a game she'd brought, and the rest of us were playing it for the first time.

I drove to Stansted on the first Saturday, and then again last Friday. In between the house has been quite full. It now feels decidedly empty. Here's a bandwidth chart for the last couple of weeks or so:

I think you can see I've had teenagers in the house.

On the Sunday we spent some time in Rochester, and quite a bit was spent in charity shops. Rather than shopping, I exhausted my phone's battery playing Ingress, and managed to do enough to get two medals up from bronze to silver. I need to get one more to gold for the next level-up, but that's still just under a million AP away, so no hurry.

Monday was a relatively quiet day.

On Tuesday we had a pancake evening. In preparation we baked some brownies, just because. Deborah arrived with Betsy and Dave while it was still mostly light. There was tea and coffee to go with the brownies, and quite a bit of music was made. Pancake cooking and consuming started after Lissa and her kids arrived. Deborah, Betsy and Dave had to head off part way through the evening, but by then Phil had arrived. I think things finally wound down sometime a bit after 11pm. It seemed to have been a good evening, though.

On Wednesday we went to London. First main stop was the British Museum. After that we went into Chinatown (which was all festooned for the Chinese New Year) for Crispy Duck. We got home a little earlier than I'd expected, but a quiet evening in was welcome. I think we watched "Spirited Away".

I caught the Morse practice on Thursday morning while everyone else was still (more or less) asleep. When they'd all woken up and had breakfast we headed out to have a look round Eltham Palace. It was interesting to see the garden in winter, when much more of the rockery is exposed.

This last Saturday was a quiet one. I spent much of it preparing a talk for the radio club's meeting tomorrow.

Yesterday I headed out to check on my geocache hidden in the woods at the top of the Downs above Oxted. It was not in great shape. The contents are currently at home, drying out.

Today's been another quiet one. I think it's been raining gently pretty much all day. There's a radio club meeting this evening.
