There's being quite a lot going on. A was in Germany for the best part of a fortnight, only finally getting back on Sunday. I spent a few days in Germany, and hired a car to make things a bit easier while I was there. This time I ended up with a Fiat 500. The extra snow forecast for the end of last month did turn up. It wasn't as heavy as it might have been, but it was accompanied by a distinct drop in temperature which had me putting the boiler into constant mode to stop the house from freezing. For a while the place also looked quite pretty.

Ugh. It's been a week and more since the clocks went back, and sunset suddenly moved from about 5:30pm to about 4:30pm. This has knocked my afternoons for six. On Tuesday morning I had a dental appointment. After it I dropped by a friend's place for a cold drink and a chat, and got home a bit after noon, by which time the dentist's anesthetic was wearing off. We got a fair bit done on Tuesday, but I spent part of the day in the attic (or carrying stuff to and from the attic) rather than in the workshop.
