I've come to the end of an exhausting, but memorable journey, and am now in the vicinity of the school where I'll be spending the next year or so. The trip here took two days, and included a hike, unspeakably beautiful country, and a few small side trips and breaks. Had a rather nice romp out in the wilderness yesterday! The ice made for some truly beautiful effects on the pines, and the weather was good (if somewhat cold).
