Day 4 of insomnia nights, so I am tired and cranky. But at least I got moving a bit more than my "normal" of late, and cleared up the hallway of things, especially boxes that has sat for so long, that the color of the carpet underneath looked nearly new. ( Read more... )

Finally shaking off my winter inertia and cleaning up the main bathroom. Tackled the bathtub/stall first, which some areas needed triple scrubbing. I then decided to torture myself some more and cleaned inside and all around the outside of the toilet.

Spent several hours this afternoon cleaning two bedrooms. I worked on our bedroom, and Cam with docryder's help worked on his bedroom. While neither are perfect rooms, they both look a lot better than before.

Now to work on an embroidery design, which will now take some time to put lots of tiny little holes into.

Today c0demonkey, docryder and I worked hard on clearing out unwanted stuff from our garage. We have a yearly city cleanup day, with crews coming by on Monday to pickup whatever trash we put on our curb. ( long chatter behind the cut... )

Today, while I was out at the bus stop, sitting under the shade tree, I realized that I am actually getting out and moving every work day. It's not a lot, just 6 minutes to the bus stop, and 6 minutes back home, plus a few blocks if I feel like adding more in the morning. But those 6 minutes are 4x a day. This week is going to be a massive cleanup for the Small family Christmas gathering, which will be at our home. First time in about 5 years. I've done some work last week (not enough), Rob finished the painting of the play room, and this weekend Rob and I have been slowly going through the living room and play room. I am tired. Right before dinner Cam managed to knock over a can of white latex primer in the playroom, on the carpet, so we had to work hard and fast with paper towels and our steam cleaner to get it out of the carpet.
