Good day.
Today was a good day, even productive considering both Rob and I are coughing and sneezing all over. He's doing better than I am, thankfully.
docryder took the kids for the afternoon to give us parents a much needed break, and time to do stuff that they would be in the way of doing. I needed the mental break.
We got one more wall painted in the kids room, and most of the tiny wall tape removed, as we are doing "castle walls" motif. We had left most of the tape for the kids to remove, since they liked doing that. I think I want to hunt down a set of wall sconces to put up when all is done, preferably with lights that flicker.
I cleaned up dishes, pots, pans, and lots of food storage tubs while Rob finished off the painting. Then Rob got to playing with our new kitchen toy we got from Costco yesterday; a juicer. He needed something so we could juice all those pomegranate seeds to make pom jelly... a big favorite in the house. This new toy allowed him to do up all 4 or 5 gal bags full of seeds into juice, without the hassle and straining through cheesecloth, which was just too tedious and messy. We now have about 2 gals of juice to make jelly with. I think we will make that up tomorrow.
And now I debate if I want to do some sewing of a long loose faux-fur lined gown for Kearney next weekend. I've got it all but the clasps. Well, kids are sitting down so off for now.
