What a mess.

I am tired. Right before dinner Cam managed to knock over a can of white latex primer in the playroom, on the carpet, so we had to work hard and fast with paper towels and our steam cleaner to get it out of the carpet. And we ran out of cleaner soap, so I made the mistake of using dish soap, which just ended up with lots of bubbles all over the carpet. So, several changes of water later my arms felt like lead, so I switched off with Rob who was also doing water changing, and we both worked hard to get it all out.

It looks like we got most of it out, with lots and lots of rinses. It looks like there might be just a little light spot where it spilled now. I still have to clean up the machine to scrub out the paint that dried on it, but that appears to be doable. And in between while I was waiting for the water changes, I cleaned up Cam's sandals that had paint on it. I scrubbed it best i could, but the soles has some white paint remaining.

Dinner got cold while we did all that. But once heated back up, it was very yummy. Beer and garlic marinated tri-tip, fresh corn on the cob, and herb spiced potatoes. Rob is one great cook, even with the simple fair. And for dessert will be root beer floats, with home made vanilla ice cream, and Weinhert's root beer. We just have to wait for the ice cream to get a little more frozen.

And in good news, I won on eBay a copy of Dress in the Age of Elizabeth I by Jane Ashelford! Finally, I will have my own copy of this book. I've waited years for one I could afford.
