I've been up in the country since Tuesday, taking a "staycation" after realizing that 1) I had only taken 7 vacation days so far this year, and 2) my level of burnout was so bad I was ripping apart at the seams. There is a man I am used to seeing most mornings on my subway platform. He has that clean scrubbed, precise look of a young investment banker / financial services professional. Been having a bit of a minor meltdown. I managed to catch a summer cold, which isn't so severe in and of itself. Chest congestion, sinus issues, but nothing I haven't dealt with before.
