Middle age, wherein I discover that I have a body and not just a brain

The gym is the one thing that has been keeping me rolling for a while now. While some days I feel a bit draggy about going, I always force myself to go and am relieved when I get there. Since I go at lunch at work there are inevitably days where something comes up and I can't go - but I never go less than four days a week, and some weeks I go as ( Read more... )

I don't find it hard to believe at all. I was the video game geek in school. Now I am gymnastics/capoeira freak/sex fiend. I'm also still a video game geek.

Yes, only replace gymnastics and capoeira with running and yoga (and hopefully eskrima soon).

I love this. If your job is anything like mine have been, the sense of accomplishment is small. Going to the gym and seeing results is so self-affirming and helps with everything. Congratulations.

I did that back in grad-school, when I discovered that Endorphins Are Your Friend. ^_^ They're great for clearing your mind, too.
