Not my favorite Monday ever

Been having a bit of a minor meltdown. I managed to catch a summer cold, which isn't so severe in and of itself. Chest congestion, sinus issues, but nothing I haven't dealt with before. The worst thing has been paralyzing fatigue. I mean, REAL fatigue. The sort that leaves you with no energy to move. I've been sleeping 12 hours at night, and ( Read more... )

Baby food … specifically, the meat jars of baby food … are a good way to get an underweight cat to eat. Recently-weaned kittens and elderly cats are often given turkey or chicken baby-food. It's often stinky, too, which makes it appealing to felines. ^_^

Another way to look at this is when you're absolutely beat, you really do need the rest. Take it.

I've been a bit nuts with work and travel, and just moved to a new apartment this weekend. Instead of freaking, I've been telling myself, "Looks like X just isn't getting done today." So be it.

You're not feeling well, you're tired, you're not on schedule with your meds. That doesn't make you a mess.

Ugh! epinoid and I caught something like that at the end of May. You're right about the fatigue, but in my case, it's thrown my sleep patterns totally out of whack (made worse by epinoid's snoring).

You have a right to take care of yourself. It's not being melodramatic. It's not being "weak." It's being human.

Wanting to be alone when sick: I get downright irascible when I'm not feeling well. So it's better for everyone if they leave me be. ^_^ Otherwise, they might get bit. ;)

Has she been diagnosed? It could be her thyroid or diabetes, which can be managed with drugs.

(Apologies if these are things you already looked into.)

She has kidney failure and a likely cancerous growth on her esophagus :(
