I am, quite seriously, counting the hours for the next eight days until I get to have my "5 Day Weekend" next week. It's been wet, it's been soggy, I have been repeatedly soaked to the skin this week, but Memorial Day weekend is upon us and the start of the summer activity season is here. I've been up in the country since Tuesday, taking a "staycation" after realizing that 1) I had only taken 7 vacation days so far this year, and 2) my level of burnout was so bad I was ripping apart at the seams. Today, the pain is significantly reduced. On a scale of 1 to JEEBUS CHRIST it is down to about a 3. I walked the hubby to dinner for his birthday last night, and it wasn't until we were almost home that my right hip gave out, and even so today it all feels pretty good in comparison to where I've been.
