My son has had two concerts so far this week. Here is a clip from Monday's performance. This is the Washington Metropolitan Youth Orchestra performing "Christmas Eve, Sarajevo 12/24." It's a piece from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Dr. Henry Sgrecci is conducting the kids. Jon Morgan is in the violin section.
We have kicked off the 2017-18 busking program for the T.C. High School Orchestra! Last weekend was our first official busking date, with seven students performing outside the King Street Metro station during evening rush hour. They played for 90 minutes and pulled in $362.36 in donations, to be used toward the orchestra's spring trip to Chicago.
My son performed in a piano concert at the Lyceum over the weekend. Here he is, playing Chopin's Etude #12 op 10, the "Revolutionary," in C minor Allegro con fuoco.
We had a quiet Easter brunch at home yesterday, just the three of us, and a whole lot of food. I made a baked egg dish, similar to a tortilla espanola, scones, fruit salad, colored Easter eggs, and a braided Italian Easter Bread.

Fifteen years ago today, I arrived home from an ultrasound to find Bob on the phone, finally having found a plumber who could come that day to fix a major leak. I said, "Cancel the plumber.
