Fifteen years ago today, I arrived home from an ultrasound to find Bob on the phone, finally having found a plumber who could come that day to fix a major leak. I said, "Cancel the plumber. Happy birthday to Will Shakespeare!

No definitive records of his birth exist, but most scholars accept April 23, 1564, as the Bard's birthday, because of church records that show his baptism having taking place April 26 of that year. Today, nearly halfway through the Month of Letters challenge, I sent three pieces of mail:

* a birthday card and package to my sister in California
* a Postcrossing postcard to Armenia
* a Postcrossing postcard to Germany

The light saber cake I baked last weekend (see the previous entry) was for Jon Morgan's actual tenth birthday, on Monday. My mom came over that day and we went out for pizza. Then we returned home for light saber cake and presents. That was the family party. Tomorrow is the kids' party.
