We have a national Reflections winner! My son Jonathan Morgan Petrini, an 8th-grader at George Washington Middle School, has won an Award of Excellence (2nd Place) in Music Composition at the NATIONAL level of the PTA Reflections arts contest. The Month of Letters challenge continues, though it skipped the last couple days because there was no mail here in the U.S. on Sunday and again on Monday's Presidents' Day holiday. I'm back now from four back-to-back out-of-town trips since mid-September, which is why I haven't written regularly. I really do need to buy a laptop so I can write from the road.
