They Keep Killing Suzie - part c
When we next see Ianto, he is dealing with the body of Suzie Costello in the morgue. Ianto has glanced up to see who was walking into the morgue. It is Jack so he looks back down and keeps working. Jack thanks him for doing it. Ianto replies that it is all part of his job. We then get a response from Jack that it isn’t. This surprises Ianto, that he stops working and looks at Jack.
When Jack sighs and murmurs that one day they are going to run out of space, Ianto looks back down to the form and fills in a little bit more. We get a completely relaxed Jack in Ianto’s presence.
Now is where the fun begins.
Ianto thinks

Ianto leaps
Jack is a little confused. Ianto enlightens him further.
“Think about it. Lot’s of things you can do with a stopwatch”
Now they are looking directly at each other
And it is “ten minutes and counting”
As Jack leaves, Ianto returns to what he was doing, writing up the final report and he has work questions to ask. He turns and calls “Jack.”
So Ianto has called him Sir, Captain and Jack all during this episode, where previously we have only heard him call him Sir to his face.
Ianto asks what death to write on her death certificate, as she had quite a few deaths in the end. It is interesting to see that Ianto smiles at the end of that sentence.
Ianto offers to put a lock on the door
Just in case Suzie goes walking again
Here we get an inkling of the banter between these two and Ianto can make Jack smile, a small gentle smile of amusement.
But we end with knowing that Ianto has been thinking about the glove.
And that they come in pairs
So how does Ianto see Jack this episode? He sees Jack the man, the one that he has been attracted to for a long time. He sees a chance to take a step and comfort Jack. That it is done in such an unorthodox manner shouldn’t be so surprising. This is Torchwood and you take your chances where you can. I think that Ianto almost set out to seduce Jack from the start of this day, but things kept getting in his way, as well as his own hesitation at times. In the end he managed to get his man.
