I continue to harvest fresh goodness from my garden, even though the dry heat is threatening to burn the plants to a crisp. My sister, nephew, and I headed to Schnepf farms to pick the last of peaches as well some plums. I'm not a fan of mushy fruit, I prefer them still firm. I had gone out of town for a few days and didn't get to the peaches until I returned, and by then they were still good, just getting a bit soft. My lovely friend Barbara and I recently spent the day together. She generously came to my school and helped me work on my classroom. We did some beautification for the upcoming school year and I managed to stab my finger with a staple.
