More Garden Goodness

I continue to harvest fresh goodness from my garden, even though the dry heat is threatening to burn the plants to a crisp. Recently I've had some cucumbers, a watermelon, tomatoes, banana peppers, and eggplant. Today I harvested most of the butternut squash . . . which was eight! How cool! It looks like everything is growing so well. That watermelon is adorable.

Yup, I'm glad I could finally get a proper harvest. Being in the apartment was a drag because our patio didn't get enough sun. It's a bummer I can't have a fall garden though, because when the sun heads south our house shades the garden area. I'll be looking forward to planning next summer's garden though.

The watermelon was the size of my nephews head; a disturbing analogy as I was eating the thing!

Are you going to learn how to pickle and jar?
I want to grow cucumbers and learn how to make my own pickles, I would really enjoy that.
How is your garden now?

I've only had 4 cucumbers, so not enough to pickle :P

Garden is so-so. I don't think I fertilized enough and it got too hot. But some things are still alive. The eggplant and butternut squash did the best!
