A break from food
Just over a year ago I found out I was going to be an auntie, and in December my super awesome nephew was born. When I first found out that my sister was pregnant my crafting mind immediately went on the hunt for something to make and I came upon the OpArt Baby Blanket on Knitty. Not only was it a knit baby blanket, but the pattern boasted the spiral design with color contrast would help with baby's brain development. Perfect for my sister and baby!
It took me quite some time, and multiple orders of yarn (as I somehow miscalculated) and I finished it in February. Unfortunately I had wanted to make it even bigger, but KnitPicks was out of stock of the green yarn. So, he got it as it was, and boy did he make my work look good!
