There have been no more rat sightings after the last round of bush and tree trimming. I guess they got disgruntled with the changes we were making, packed up, and left. Happy 4th of July
Much like cities across the country tonight, ours has plentiful illegal fireworks. Aaron loves them and it's nice to get a good show without having to leave the house. It's not great for animals, people with PTSD or sensory disorders, or anyone trying to sleep. Except Alex. He's sleeping right through them right now. I used to live in Texas where it gets just as hot and has higher humidity so you'd think I'd be somewhat used to this by now, but no. It has been almost eerily quiet next door this past week since my next door neighbors moved out. The owner sold the house, but my neighbors said no one ever came to look at it and no one has come by after they left either. Driving is one of my major stressors and something that I will do almost anything to avoid. Traffic is getting much worse and so much heavier even around town that I switched back to taking Alex the the park in our neighborhood. Last weekend started out nice and cool and overcast. I enjoyed it as much as I could knowing that it will be in the high 90s and just at 100 again this week before the real excruciating and unrelenting summer weather hits.
