Driving is one of my major stressors and something that I will do almost anything to avoid. Traffic is getting much worse and so much heavier even around town that I switched back to taking Alex the the park in our neighborhood. I would have the same stresses about driving if I lived in a crowded city. I live out in a very small city (under 9,000 people within 38 miles) which would probably seem like the country to someone who lives in a very populated area. I always wonder how people do it when I take day trips to Boston, and Boston is tiny in comparison to any other major city.

Your small town sounds amazing. My "small town" was 70,000 people in a 12 sq mile area 20 years ago. Now it's over 100,000.

I also despise driving. When I moved back to Indiana from Michigan, I had to drive a car from 1994 that I wasn't familiar with, it was super loud because the muffler needed work done, and it wasn't even legal to drive (no insurance, no plates, no title). Luckily, I didn't get pulled over but that was probably the worst driving experience of my life. I don't like taking the bus in town, either so I guess I'm just destined to sit at home all the time. Lol

I kind of like sitting at home. In fact, if I didn't have to take Alex out anywhere I think I'd be happy never leaving the house.
